Right after curing it looks slightly warmer, like all milky bases; once it cools it shows a cold white tint. A top with UV filters is recommended. 30 ml is a professional volume: it is scooped with your own brush, so there is no need to buy several small bottles. The gel jar lets you pick up exactly the amount you need with a separate brush.
